I WOKE UP TODAY, AND EVERY DAY.
isn’t it so obvious- that we were never meant to be
here bearing witness on this black & blooming
eyelid ? yes, yes it is either too hot
or too cold, & our skin revolts against
the gifts & graces of day, & evening patronizes
with its patience, whispering endlessly
‘i know the end’. but, see- how the sunflowers reach
toward one another in the absence of their
queen (& seemingly without complaint)? how lovers
cannot eat a clementine without sharing it & how
its white boning cascades into the field, like hymns?
how to be here, & really here is to be
everywhere at once? we were never meant to be-
how incredible then, that we are.
