The Fire Burning
My shopping spree is over
I am content in my mess
Return my luxury
For essentials
I desire nothing more
Than a bed
Too hot to touch
Fire ravages my joy
Steals my hope
And desires my life
Water baring gifts
Can’t come soon enough
It’s time to face
The hell created
With ashes floating
Running for lives
With paintings in hand
Pedalling down the street
Never forgotten
The once lived childhood
The memories that are saved
And the adult that can afford
To rebuild the building
He once upon a time
Laid
